Wordless Wednesday November 4
Moonwalks and inflatable slides are great fun for the grandkids. We usually rent one for Thanksgiving, but they are also good for family reunions, combined birthday parties and a host of other celebrations. Photo © Susan Adcox

My kids at 10 and 11 still love the moon bounce. We invite all the neighborhood kids to come and jump. Then after they all leave, it’s the parents’ turn. I think we may actually have more fun than they do.
Fantastic photo! This image captures the intensity with which kids have fun. I love the bright colors, too!
My family never grows up — all us adults still want to play in the moon bounces too, but *sigh* too many of us would never be able to get up once we flopped down!
My niece and nephew are friends with a family that has 10 kids. They usually rent one of these for the summer. The kids are all home schooled and also help out with the family business, so it is a good way for them to blow off steam. And, my niece and nephew are invited too, so they love that!
Those bounce house things look like fun. When we were kids, it was metal slides in the hot sun and burned butts.
Wheee! Oh, to be a kid again.
Ditto what Stan says. Metal slides always looked as though they should be fun.
wow. I never thought about renting one. How much do they cost?
We usually pay from $50 to $100. You can get one cheaper if you are willing to pick it up, set it up and then return it. Of course, the suckers are heavy, so you’ll need a couple of people to lift it and a truck or large SUV to transport it. The good thing about renting one for Thanksgiving is that most of the moonwalk owners want to enjoy their own Thanksgiving, so they don’t care if you don’t bring it back until the next day. We usually get a full day of fun out of it, and sometimes more.
Those things are so much fun! And when you fall down, you just get some other adult to come in and bounce you back upright!
(or a bunch of kids)
Sounds like a new tradition in the making Thanksgiving slides and why not since it’s all about family and sharing.
What a fun Thanksgiving tradition! Those kinds of activities are pretty fun for adults, too.
